Making teeth straight since 1999.
We’re aware of the importance of having a healthy smile, but mostly, nowadays we pay major attention to straight and white teeth. That’s why at Dentech, we’ve started a program that detects and prevents chewing disorders.
Orthodontics is a branch of dental medicine that can do all of that. She deals with prevention, diagnosis and fixing the irregular positions of our teeth and previously mentioned chewing disorders.
Our experts are recommending the first check-up around 7 years of age. At that age we can easily fix the existing problems, determine potential ones and keep them under observation.
This type of check-up will allow us to prevent overload of joints, consuming of permanent teeth and to upgrade the quality of life of our patients.
As previously said, our specialists recommend going on a first orthodontic check-up at a young age, to determine possible problems and to fix the existing ones. Besides that, it’s really important to break the child’s bad habits such as: sucking a thumb or lip, breathing through the mouth and infantile swallowing.
With early orthodontic therapy we can more effectively fix chewing problems, prevent future tooth extractions, get more space for permanent teeth, decrease the possibility of impacted teeth and fix irregular bites. Different problems need different types of therapies, which will all be explained by our experts. They’re here to guide you through a journey to your beautiful and healthy smile.
Along with the development of modern technology, Orthodontics has spread on every age group. The branch hasn’t kept its focus only on young patients but has spread her knowledge among the older population. Age barriers are no longer an issue when it comes to having straight teeth and a beautiful smile. So, if you’ve struggled for a long time with a problem that you’d like to solve, it’s never too late to schedule a free check-up and start with the therapy.
FIRST ORTHODONTIC CHECK-UP AND DIAGNOSIS
The first thing you need to do in order to get a therapy plan is a detailed physical check-up and diagnosis. Taking the impressions and creating a study model is the second step, which will allow us, in combination with an X-Ray and specialist’s plan, to determine the ideal therapy for every patient individually.
LM – ACTIVATOR
LM – Activator is an orthodontic device/gadget, created in biocompatible silicon, that allow us to avoid the irregular bite (occlusion) in younger and older patients, and to direct the teeth into a regular position. We have 37 LM types, that we choose along with our experts, depending on the individual needs of every patient.
Every human being dreams about having a perfect and beautiful smile, but not every one of us is thrilled to put braces on. To avoid the old-school braces and for fixing minor irregularities, we have a completely transparent device – Invisalign. It can give us beautiful results, without anyone noticing that you wear an orthodontic device.
Invisalign is mostly recommended to adults or people that have already worn braces, but somehow the irregularities have come back. It’s very important to say that in this type of therapy we can predict every possible movement and that not every patient it’s the right candidate for it.
Invisalign is very comfortable and operates with minor forces than the regular braces, and it’s easier to maintain oral hygiene. You can take off Invisalign, but not too often, as you’ll have a lack of results.
Every patient gets a series of bites/splints that are worn for 2-3 weeks, that is replaced by another bite in the line. Every bite moves the teeth for app.0,3 mm until the wanted position determined by the therapy plan.
BRACES – FIXED ORTHODONTIC SOLUTION
The most common type of orthodontic therapy is – braces. Braces have metal or aesthetic (ceramic, sapphire or composite) brackets that combined with wires can correct the existing irregularities.
This type of treatment is used for bigger problems, and it requires dedication and constant oral hygiene, especially after every meal. Our specialists will recommend: interdental brushes, floss and some type of rinse water, to avoid every risk of the cavity or even bigger problems. Optimal oral hygiene is essential for this type of therapy.
An average orthodontic therapy lasts app.18 months, but every patient has its individual problems and our specialists will adapt the therapy, depending on the movements of the patient’s teeth.
